Risk assessments are completed as part of the permit process: a permit template can include a risk assessment block where hazards, controls and likelihood and severity ratings are recorded on the permit itself, or a pre-defined assessment the permit holder confirms and signs. RAMS can be created in Zentri or attached to the permit, so the assessment, method statement and authorization stay on one record.

Can one job require multiple permit types?

Yes. A single job can carry several permit types for the same scope of work. Each type keeps its own requirements while the job shares one reference, work party, lifecycle and coordinated approval record.

How are PTW and LOTO connected?

Permit to Work authorizes the scope of work; Lockout/Tagout controls hazardous energy. They stay separate records with their own governance. Zentri links them through the same Job so coordinators see permit and isolation readiness together and can coordinate holds when conditions change.

Permit templates define the active validity window, permitted extensions, reassessment cadence and the controls required for reissue. Work can be placed on hold, reissued through the configured level of review, and handed over to a new responsible person with the history preserved.

Yes. Permit templates can require training for the holder, the full work party or a named competent person. Zentri checks those requirements against current training records and can be configured to warn or to block authorization and reissue when a requirement is not met.
